The Physiotherapist Sleep Assessment and Bed Fittings are available at our growing network of participating physiotherapy clinics, Australia wide.
These clinics are independent clinics that have undertaken special training with our clinical team in order to be able to perform sleep assessments and bed fittings.
Appointment details
The appointment lasts 1 hour and comprises two parts -
- An initial physiotherapist assessment (30 minutes) to understand your musculoskeletal and sleep history, and to identify your personalised needs.
- An interactive bed assessment (30 minutes) during which your sleeping posture is explored, and you are fitted on a specialized fitting bed. Your physiotherapist will develop an individualised prescription, utilising their clinical skills, and video guided feedback, to ensure an optimal personalised sleep posture fitting, unique to you.
Appointment cost
The cost of the appointment is $250, payable to the clinic. The clinic may also charge you a non-refundable booking fee ($30) to confirm your appointment.
What happens after the Appointment?
Your physiotherapist will perform a thorough clinical assessment on your pain, sleep and sleep history. There is significant evidence that a poor quality sleep can increase your pain, and chronic pain may contribute to a poor nights sleep. From their assessment they may recommend further investigations into your sleep or the Z10-Bodyfit Sleep System.
The bed is available on a 100 night risk free trial. To organise your trial, email us the prescription provided by your physiotherapist. We will contact you for sizing and aesthetics and provide you with a quote.
If you choose to go ahead, after payment, the bed will be delivered to your home and set up, exactly as prescribed, by our SD Laboratories team. You can trial the bed for 100 nights, and if you do not achieve the benefits you are after, we will retrieve the bed (at our cost) and refund you your money. Your physiotherapist will check in with you during the trial and discuss any changes you feel need to be made to ensure you achieve the best quality sleep.

Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Fitted
Where do I go to get fitted?
Contact SD Labs at support@sdlaboratories.com and they will assist you in making a booking with your nearest SD Labs accredited physiotherapist.
How long is a fitting appointment?
A standard fitting session will last 60 minutes. The physiotherapist typically spends the first 30 minutes understanding your musculoskeletal needs, with an emphasis on sleep.
The physiotherapist uses the remainder of the appointment to fit the Z10-BodyFit System to the needs of your body and issue a “prescription” for the System so it can be replicated in your home.
What do I wear to a fitting appointment?
You should wear loose, comfortable clothing and ideally have the option of removing a top layer as your physiotherapist will need to assess your posture during the assessment and fitting.
What should I bring to a fitting appointment?
You should bring all pillows that you may use for positioning throughout the night as it will help your physiotherapist to understand how you’ve been sleeping at home to date.
What happens in a fitting?
The bed fitting appointment will be carried out by a physiotherapist, who is trained in fitting and servicing the Z10-BodyFit System.
The aim of the fitting is to provide you with a bed that has a personalized configuration of firmness, in ten zones across your body, and a height and resilience calibrated pillow. This personalised configuration will be documented in a “prescription” for the SD Labs Z10-BodyFit System.
If you have any medical or physiotherapy issues requiring assessment prior to the fitting, you may need a physiotherapy assessment prior to the fitting appointment. Your physiotherapist will pre-notify you if this is required and let you know the relevant cost of such an assessment.
How many sessions are needed for me to get fitted?
One session is enough for your physiotherapist to have an understanding of the needs of your body. Your physiotherapist will follow up once you have your System in your home to ensure the fit is working for you.
